New LIVE Workshop: How To Redefine Success For Yourself

You’re going the wrong way!
You could be huffing and puffing and practically at the endpoint of a marathon. You may have even just caught a glimpse of a finish line. Yet, THAT could be when you realize that you’ve been running the wrong race. Imagine that? Sleep-walking through a marathon? The wrong marathon. It may sound absurd that you could be moving yet unconscious yet this is what happens when you run non-stop for decades. Metaphorically, you may have never given yourself the gift of stopping to take a water break. Does this resonate with you?
Some people are saying that the pandemic was a reset however if you are just pressing “play” on the same movie then what exactly did you reset? I want to invite you to consider that now would be the best time for you to know whether the race you’ve been participating in is going to lead you in the right direction of YOUR personal ambitions or someone else’s.
Here’s why: the age of 40 tends to be a point of no return. You reach a level of success that you want to maintain and will do whatever it takes to keep OR you take a breather and decide for yourself that you paid the entrance fee to participate in the wrong marathon. Have you ever wondered to yourself what could I have been if I hadn’t signed up for a corporate challenge? This thought pops up for senior executives who have reached out to me yet ultimately decided to keep playing the corporate game. It’s also one that working parents who got off their corporate challenge have contemplated. They are seeing their peers outpacing them professionally and it’s led them to rethink their choices.
Now, when I first began coaching clients my clients and I knew nothing about corporations. I was 17 and they were teens too. The coaching industry didn’t exist. Zoom was solely photographer jargon. Back then, I was helping my friends land jobs in companies where adults made money and looked happy. Ignorance for all of us involved was bliss. I never felt like I had to convince anyone that working for a big company could be fulfilling. We actually thought corporate fulfillment as possible. Turns out it’s an oxymoron for many people. Many of us associated beautiful suits and smiles with joy and meaning. To think I once thought that all NYC commuters smooshed in trains were actually happy during morning commutes is laughable today. So let’s fast-forward to today…
Both my clients and I have grown up and we are now in our 40s. Now my clients come to me with career trauma, corporate scars, disappointments, and frustrations. Today, I’m coaching them less on how to express their elevator pitch and more on how to find their voice because for some of them a career in corporate muted their true feelings, hopes, and dreams. This brings me to us.
I want to invite you to a virtual open forum conversation centered around How To Redefine Success At Any Life Stage.
It’s time to come out from the woodworks. Share your voice. This is for you if you no longer want to feel unsuccessful or like a disappointment when benchmarked against corporate success markers.
This is for you if you:
-
Are at a crossroads and want to take the right path in your life based on your authentic desires
-
Know that you are on the wrong path based on feeling like there has to be more to life than what’s on your desk
-
Need to reframe your definition of success because beating yourself up for not exceeding corporate expectations is tiring
-
Realize that what everyone else wants (maybe you wanted those things once) is no longer what you want today
My commitment to you as a guide who will lead this conversation during a 1.5-hour virtual session is this:
· You will feel heard and respected even if your truest ambitions have been brushed aside
· You will have an action plan to help you determine which is the right race for you
· You will be better able to distinguish between what you want for yourself vs. what others want for you and take a stand for yourself
· Finally, as your guide, I get you because I have battled self-doubt, quit law school, left corporate, and am a misfit (in my own ways)
