It’s easy to go into a networking conversation with a one-sided agenda but that’s ineffective – it is also a short-term strategy that will not serve you well beyond that initial ask.

A client, Tracey, left the tobacco industry to join a fin-tech firm learned about the perils of not taking an interest in her network’s career the hard way when she did not get call backs nor help during her initial job search because she had not been a giver in the past.
